Business model & strength
Double engine: EPC + IPP.
EPC is capital-efficient — customer capital funds the build. IPP adds 25-year PPA-backed annuity cash flow. Together they fund project equity internally, growing the asset base without continuous equity dilution.
KPI Green Energy
Solar, hybrid, BESS & floating solar — IPP and EPC. Owns and operates assets on 25-year PPAs.
KP Energy
One of India's leading wind EPC players; 646 MW O&M; strategic 250 MW IPP (48.5 MW operational).
KP Green Engineering
Design, manufacturing and galvanization arm. 23+ engineered products; supplies towers and mounting structures.
All inter-company transactions are on an arm's-length basis.
Portfolio & execution
9.2 GWp renewable portfolio.
As on 30 June 2026 — across solar, wind, hybrid, floating solar and BESS.
IPP: 2.82 GWp total
Commissioned · 1.01 GWp
Under execution · 1.81 GWp
Gujarat home, national reach
131 sites in Gujarat. Beyond: NTPC REL 650 MWp BoS and NACOF Oorja 550 MWp EPC (Rajasthan), MAHAGENCO 128 MWp (Maharashtra), 42 MWp wind-solar hybrid (Karnataka).
Floating solar
142 MWp EPC order under progress at Kadana Dam, Gujarat. Estimated 102 GW potential across India.

KP Green Engineering
Engineering & manufacturing at scale.
Credentials
NATRAX — only company to pass all W-Beam & Thrie-Beam crash tests first attempt · RDSO approved · ISO 9001/14001/45001/3834-2 · 1,280 BSNL sites.
Under development
Onshore & offshore tubular towers, hot rolling mill, container manufacturing, cables & conductors, aluminium extrusion, magni-coated fasteners, defence products.
Matar, Gujarat
~55-acre manufacturing footprint. Design → precision engineering → galvanizing → on-site delivery, under one roof.
Sun Drops Energia
10 GWh: from cell to system, on one Gujarat campus.
Led by Erez Schreiber, CEO – BESS (founder of 3D Battery, ex-head of Elbit Systems' Energy & Power). ~110 acres with RED permission.
Why build the cell
The cell is 55% of container cost. Making it lifts gross margin from 14% to 22% at an unchanged price (~$10/kWh gap). 90%+ of Indian BESS cells are imported from China, locking 60–80 days of cash.
Five chemistries, eight markets
LFP in production 2027; NMC, sodium-ion, solid-state, Li-S in the roadmap. Target mix: utility BESS 30%, industrial 18%, renewables 14%, mobility 11%, telecom 9%, defence 8%, micro-utilities 5%, exports 5%.
Demand
India BESS demand (CEA): 35 GWh FY27 → 236 GWh FY32 → 1,840 GWh by 2047. Under 5% of cells consumed in India are made in India.
The market behind the roadmap
India needs ~55 GW of non-fossil capacity a year.
That gap is the opportunity for renewable generation, storage and firm & dispatchable power. CERC and GERC trading licences let KP monetise surplus IPP generation — peak IEX prices of ₹12–15/kWh vs ₹3–5 off-peak (illustrative).
Global expansion & green hydrogen
Beyond India, beyond power.
Africa & GCC
- Botswana: Phase 1 of 500 MW planned; 500 Ha land allocated; Gaborone office open
- Tanzania: power infrastructure under BOO model
- Zambia: EPC support to a local developer
- Saudi Arabia: EPC and export of engineering solutions
Green hydrogen — KPI Green Hydrogen & Ammonia
- 1 MW electrolysis plant at Matar, 432 kg/day
- 6 EV & H₂ fuel stations in pipeline; vision of 500 across 6 corridors
- 1 TPD waste-to-H₂ EPC project for NTPC
- 10 patents filed, 17 MoUs, 31 NDAs
- Not a subsidiary of any KP Group listed entity
Governance
You spoke. We listened. We acted.
| Area | What you told us | What we did | Status |
|---|---|---|---|
| Business structure | Overlapping businesses | One company per segment and project size (Sun Drops ≤50 MW, KPI Green >50 MW solar, KP Energy wind) | Completed |
| Promoter pledge | 45% of promoter shares pledged in KPI Green | Bank sanction terms provide for release by FY27-end | Target Mar 2027 |
| Royalty | Uncapped outflow | Lower of 2% of revenue or ₹175 Cr (KPI), ₹100 Cr (KPE), ₹75 Cr (KPGE) | Ceiling affixed |
| Statutory auditor | Need a reputed firm | BDO appointed for all three listed companies, FY27–32 | Completed |
| Board | Broader, more experienced | New appointments; leadership depth added | Completed |
This is a first step — not the last.
